The history of Hotel Vistabella
Coming to Roses in 1960 from Germany was only for the most visionary. If you also decide to build a hotel in a place where there is literally still "nothing", that means your illusions are bigger than your dreams. And it has been a lifetime since then.
In 1961 the Veitl family decided to build the Hotel Vistabella, a building designed by the well-known architect Pelayo Martinez, in a rather eclectic style that blends in very well with its surroundings. Two years later, in 1963, the hotel was inaugurated in the middle of the tourist and urban development of the town of Roses: and right there, the adventure begins!
During all these years the hotel has been continuously transforming and adapting to the trends and new needs of our guests. At the beginning of the eighties, the son of the family, Peter, and his wife, Scarlette, took over the hotel, and created the first gastronomic restaurant at the Vistabella. At the end of the nineties, the hotel underwent a complete refurbishment in order to become the first 5-star hotel on the Northern Costa Brava in 2000. From that moment on, the couple's sons, René and Marlon, joined the new project bringing innovation and new ideas.
Today, the Vistabella Hotel is still the only 5-star hotel on the coast in the northern Costa Brava, prioritizing the customer's experience at all times and being a gastronomic benchmark.
