XXII Festival Terra de Trobadors from 5 to 8th of September 2013
Terra de Trobadors is a medieval festival that started in 1990 in the village of Castelló d’Empúries (Alt Empordà) in Catalonia. It is intended to revive, with the highest allegiance and historical accuracy its medieval splendor when the village was the capital of the Empúries County. This festival counts with the participation of all its neighbors, cultural institutions and hired groups. During the festival musical and theater performances, fighting knights, a popular medieval market, lectures and exhibitions on medieval themes are held. Each year is has a different theme, this year’s theme is “ 1213 the end of the Occitania dream”, which aims to discover the intense political and cultural relations that existed between Occitania and the Crown of Aragon.More information
