The Festival Acústica of Figueres, from August 29th until September 2nd
The Festival Acústica of Figueres, best known as Acústica, is a music festival celebrated in the city of Figueres (Alt Empordà) in Catalonia since 2001. It is held in 7 urban spaces of the city center around the Dali Museum. This way, visitors can enjoy all the Dalí props that are still preserved in the old part of the city. The Acústica is a festival that has grown dramatically, from 3,000 people in its first edition to 40,000 people in its last edition. The main theme of the festival is to schedule artists that play unplugged or a cappella, hence the name of the festival. Artists take this opportunity to present new material and pieces that can only be heard during this festival. This year’s edition accounts more than 30 performances of the Catalan and Spanish music scene. Highlights include the following artists: Quini Portet, Amics de les Arts, Joan Dausà, Pep Sala, Mishima, Obrint Pas, Sky Edwards, Amparo Sánchez and Dover. Last year the festival celebrated its tenth anniversary with a special show dedicated to Salvador Dali. If you like unplugged or a cappella music, inspired by the surrealist genius, this festival is a must.More information
