50th Anniversary of the Festival of Porta Ferrada

The Festival of Porta Ferrada is one of the oldest festivals in Catalonia and this year celebrates its 50th anniversary with two editions distributed during the years 2012 and 2013. This festival is held in the vicinity of the monastery of Sant Feliu de Guíxols and offers very eclectic and high quality acts to a broad and diverse audience. The start of this year’s edition is on June 23rd with the performance of Obrint Pas. This year’s edition will last until September 11th, 2012. Among the artists that will perform you can find: Serrat and Sabina, Ana Belén, Alanis Morrissette, Jehtro Tull, Els Amics de les Arts and Roger Mas. But the highlight will be the Concert for the 50th Anniversary held by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Zubi Mehta.
