International Festival Castell de Peralada

The International Music Festival Castell de Peralada is celebrating its 27th anniversary offering a selected program of music, theater and dance. Between July and August you’ll be able to enjoy concerts, theater, opera and many more at the different spaces of the festival in the town of Peralada. This year is also the bicentennial of Verdi and Wagner, which will be commemorated with the performance of the symphony of the theater Mariinsky in Saint Petersburg by Valery Gergiev and Eva Maria Westbroek, as well as the performance of the piece Das Liebesverbot, mostly unknown and for the first time in Spain. This festival is internationally recognized and since 1992 it is part of the European Festivals Association thus consolidating it as a prestigious festival, being part of renowned festivals such as Bayreuth, Berlin, Florence and Salzburg. This year, the program is exquisite again accounting the already two mentioned operas, as well as the concerts of Miguel Bosé, Alejandro Sanz, Paco de Lucía and Jamie Cullum.
