Beyond the beach...GOLF!

Costa Brava is traditionally a sun and beach destination, but beyond the sand and the sea there’s a huge range of possibilities to complete your stay, one of the most recognised is golf. The weather, the gastronomic and cultural highlights, the excellent infrastructures and the amazing views have turned this area into a high valued destination by golf players. Not far from the hotel we can reach up to 8 golf courses where competitions and tournaments are hosted regularly and cover almost all the golfers’ needs.

The nearest club is located just 25km far from the hotel, Golf Club Peralada offers a 18 holes course in an environment deeply involved to the world of cava, with a few slopes, lakes, shorelines and trees; there’s also a Pitch&Putt area which is perfect to start practicing this sport. A little further (35km from the Vistabella) we find Torremirona Golf Club placed in the middle of nature but just barely minutes to the city of Figueres. It also owns 18 holes and a course that points out the undulations, bunkers and lakes; don’t miss out hole 5 whose green is on an island. Robert Von Hagge designed according to experts a technically perfect course for Empordà Golf. Just a 55km away, consist of 36 holes combinable into 3 different 18 holes courses, in which pine trees, lakes, dunes and bunkers mix perfectly. On his behalf Golf Girona has very well communications by the AP7 and it’s only 58km far, offers a course with 18 holes suitable for all levels and well adapted to the natural environment. You’ll need to use all your clubs to complete the 1^st part of the course. Close to it and just at 60km from the Vistabella you’ll find the Golf Platja de Pals, established in 1966 is considered the first golf club in the Costa Brava. It’s located inside the “Arenals de Mar” property and consists of 18 holes, the design was very respectful with the environment and avoided an excessive pine tree logging. The Golf PGA Catalunya resort was awarded recently to be the best golf course in Spain and it’s situated just at 75 km south. It has 2 courses with 18 holes each and different difficulty, represents a challenge for players because in their path they’ll find lakes up to in 7 holes, bunkers and fairways with trees everywhere. A little bit further (90km) near Santa Cristina d’Aro and placed in a typical catalan “Masia” you have Club Golf Costa Brava. It offers overall 27 holes in 2 courses that require diverse skills. Finally, located in the middle of “Les Gavarres” Natural Park, the Club Golf d’Aro – Mas Nou gives players the opportunity to play golf and enjoy sea views at the same time. Their privileged situation 300 metres above sea level provides to its 18 holes stunning views.
