1961

Heinz Veitl and his wife, Meta Maria, come from a long family history dedicated to hostelry. They initiate the project to build a hotel of reference to the zone.

1963

After two years of construction the Vistabella Hotel was completed, designed by the famous architect Pelai Martínez.

1973

Respecting the family’s philosophy, Peter Veitl, current owner and CEO of the hotel, with the support of his wife Scarlette, make constant reforms to maintain high quality services and gastronomy, continuing the tradition of his parents.

1979

This is the year the “Pirata Beach-Grill” was inaugurated, which has a floating pontoon, therefore clients can access the hotel directly from the sea. At the same time, the gastronomic offer grows with the creation of the “Gourmet” restaurant.

1993

Peter Veitl decides to convert the hotel into the first five stars of the Northern Costa Brava in order to remain a landmark of the zone. Thus, a long period of transformations begins.

2000

After this long period, the Hotel Vistabella acquires five stars and four towers in the Michelin Guide.

2001

The transformations also affect the cuisine with major changes, and the opening of the gastronomic restaurant “ElsBrancs”.

2000

The Hotel starts the season as a 5-stars hotel. A series of important changes affected the culinary and gastronomic offer of the hotel.

2001

The planning of a new concept  for the main restaurant, “El Gourmet”, initiates.

2002

“ElsBrancs” restaurant is inaugurated and continues the high gastronomic standards, thanks to the modernization and new concept of the restaurant.

2005

Satisfied with the acknowledgements obtained during the previous years, the team of “ElsBrancs” start the new season with the aim to continue their philosophy, and constantly strive to improve the quality of service and the gastronomic offer. Thus, to be able to offer its clientele an updated product in constant evolution.
