Roses has a very historical nature, where various Mediterranean cultures were settled. Maybe this is the reason why the Veitl family decided to open a hotel in 1961 at the entrance of the bay, which was once surrounded by the Greeks and Romans.

Inaugurated in 1963, the project was created by the famous architect Pelai Martinez, marked to some extent by Eclecticism.

In the early nineties, the hotel experienced significant reforms and changes that led in the year 2000 to become the first five stars in the Northern Costa Brava.
